MIDO 2026: Registration Now Open & New Industry Awards Announced – MyGlassesAndMe

MIDO 2026 registration is now live for both visitors and press, with the show set to welcome the global optical industry back to Milan. Last year’s event drew 42,000 attendees from 168 countries and over 400 accredited journalists – solid numbers that reflect MIDO’s status as a major industry hub.

Spotlight on Sustainability: The CSE Awards

This year, the MIDO Awards put renewed emphasis on sustainability and innovation. From October 1, exhibitors can apply for the CSE Award (Certified Sustainable Eyewear), now in its fourth edition. The award recognises excellence in eco-friendly frame, sunglass, and case design—covering everything from recycled materials to reduced energy use and supply chain transparency.

What’s new for 2026?

Three streamlined categories: Frames, Sunglasses, and Cases each with its own award, making the recognition even more focused and prestigious.

CSE Corporate Award: A new accolade for the most sustainability-driven exhibiting company, rewarding not just products, but holistic ESG strategies and long-term commitment to responsible business. Applications for the CSE Awards are open until December 14. If you’re an exhibitor championing sustainable practices, this is your chance to showcase your work on a global stage.

Best Store Award: Recognising Retail Excellence. Opticians worldwide can also apply for the Best Store Award (open until December 31), now in its eleventh year. The award celebrates standout optical centres in two categories – Design and Innovation judged by a panel of retail, design, and communication experts. Winners are chosen for excellence in store layout, atmosphere, customer experience, digital engagement and more.
